LEONARD GORDON ANDREWS was born in Lindfield, Sussex. He studied at Battersea Polytechnic School of Art from 1900-03. He was tought by WIllian Thomas. He then attended Clapham School of Art, 1903-04 and Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art in 1906 under George Gaskel He studied at the Birmingham School of Art in 1908 and West Bromich School of Art in 1909 under J A Pierce. He held a number of art teaching positions in the West Midlands and London. He exhibited at RA, RBA, RIO, NS and RMSA. He lived in Woodford Green Essex.
