PATRICIA ANGADI (aka Pat Fell Clark) was born and lived in London. She became well known for her portraits and as a writer. She married the Indian writer Ayana Angadi in 1943. With her support Ayana founded the Asian Music Circle in 1946 (originally called the Indian Music Circle). She studied at the Heatherley's School of FIne Art from 1933-7. Her teachers included Frederick Whiting and Bernard Adams. She was chairman of the Hampstead Artists' Council. She showed at RP, SWA, NEAC, Paris Salon. Birkbeck College holds her portrait of the philosopher C E M Joad. She started writing late in life, her first book, 'The Governess', published in 1985. For the next ten years she produced about one novel a year, inspired by her own bohemian life.
