ROY TURNER DURRANT, born 4th October in Lavenham, Suffolk. Married Jean Lyell. Served in Suffolk Regiment 1944 to 1947. Studied Camberwell School Of Art 1948 to 1952. Attained N.D.D., F.R.S.A., F.F.P.S., N.E.A.C. Had about 30 one-man exhibitions in London and provinces, includIng:- Guildhall 1948; Cromwell Gallery 1949; Beaux Arts Gallery, London 1950; Kensington Art Gallery 1951; Coffee House, Trafalgar Square 1952; Everyman Cinema, Hampstsead 1953 ; Artists' Intemational Association Gallery London 1953, 1957 and 1969; Roland Browse & Delbanco Gallery, London 1954; New Vision Art Centre 1957 and 1960, A.I.A 1957 and 1969; Grabowski Gallery, London 1959; New Gallery, Ipswich 1960; Phoenix Gallery, Lavenharn 1960; Gainsborough's House, 1961; Cambridge University 1969 and 1977; Cambridge Art and Design Gallery 1974; Caius College Cambridge 1976.
