DOROTHY DUVAL was born in Ipplepen, Devon.She studied at Slade under Anthony Devas between 1949-55. Inspired by Manet and Corot, she had an aptitude for capturing the moment. She showed and was a member of the UA. She was also a fellow of the British Academy and a lay member exhibitor at RSMA shows. Duval exhibited at RBA, ROI, RP and Ashmoleum Museum in Oxford.During the 1959 Paris Salon she gained silver medal. At the Acadamea Italia she gained gold in 1980. Her solo shows include Saffron Gallery, Saffron Walden 1973, Broadstairs Library Gallery 1978, and Margate Library 1989.
