HARWOOD EVE was a former officer with the army. Although his paintings are sought after and make reasonable prices in the salerooms – very little is known about the man. When I met him at his Guildford Studio he had unfortunately become a victim to macro degeneration and was no longer able to see. He showed me a vast amount of work in oil watercolour, pastels, and engraved sheets as well. He had work published within the Army environment and is believed to have had pictures exhibited at various Galleries. Two paintings were exhibited at the Royal Academy one in 1958 and another in 1962.
