OLGA LEHMANN was born in Chile and come to London in 1921. She won a scholarship to Slade School of Fine Art and studied under Allan Gwynne-Jones and Vladimir Polunin She worked at Covent Garden Opera House. Then she moved to costume design and was art director at Rank Advertising. This lead to her moving to Hollywood. Her film credits include 'Laughter in Paradise', 'The Inn of the Sixth Happiness' and 'witness for the Prosecution'. She did the background portraits for the Dynasty television series. he also painted the portraits of Dirke Bogarde, Peter Sellers and Ralph Richardson. Was a member of NS and SGA. Lehmann was also a prolific illustrator for the Radio Times. The was a retrospective for her at the Barnsdale Gallery, Yoxford in 2001. There are examples of her work at the Imperial War Museum, Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon and Fry Art Gallery in Saffron Walden.
